Jerusalem, the Old City. The serenity and beauty of the evening lights belies the underlying conflict within the walls of this sacred city filled with a plethora of historic and religious sites. The most visible structure is the Dome of the Rock located on Temple Mount (Har HaMoriyah) built about 1400 years ago during the first Muslim conquest. This is the same site the first Jewish temple was built 1000 years before Christ. The dome covers a slab of stone sacred to both Muslim and Jewish faiths. This evening panoramic view from Mt.
